White Trash Wagon

For all the Texas folk, you understand me when I say, whats up with the weather ??? Its the middle of August, usually the hottest time of the year, and its actually tolerable outside. Well we took full advantage of it. Our backyard has and will be a work in progress, and since the weather was nice this weekend, we thought we would let Kellan come enjoy the great outdoors. My son is very deprived and has no wagon, so daddy had to make do. Notice the rig job. Margo was excited for Kellan to be out, notice the picture where Margo dropped he ball for Kellan to throw, and when he wouldn't , she barked at him.

Eatin Cereal

Well we figured at 5 months old that maybe it was time to feed Kellan some cereal. Guess what, the only thing he was interested in eating was......his hands !!!! It was fun though to watch and see how he did, but he clearly wasn't in to it, so I guess we'll wait a week or so and try again.

Waterslide fun

Well we had a hot sweatin blast on Saturday. Tina's momma bought the boys a blow up water slide thing for her house. But we decided to borrow it and have a little get together. Brandy brought Marcus over and Coleman came with Colby and Landen. Ken and Melinda stopped by briefly for some munch and a cold one. It was such fun watching those boys play. Baby Jace wasn't real interested, but he did play in the pool part. Kellan got in for a little while sitting in his bumbo with daddy, but really could care less. We ate hot dogs for din-din and just hung out. It was good times !!! Can't wait to do it again.

Good times with Daddy

One would think I do nothing with my child given all the photo's have daddy in them, but its because I'm the only one who takes pictures !!!! That boy loves his daddy and they have good times together !!!! Over this last weekend, Kellan showed his 1 st interest in toys, with daddy's help of course. They also spent time reading and watching TV at Bibi & Pa's house.

1st swim

Wow, we had a busy last few days !! First, we went on our 1st trip with baby and survived !!! We met my brother Kelly and his family at there time share in lake palestine. Its was a great time. This was the 1st time they got to meet Kellan. We took him tho the pool Fri. He could of cared less. All he wanted to do was chew on his fingers, what else is new !!!!

Mamma's favorite time of the day

Crazy but true, my favorite time of the day is wake up time. Each day I look forward to hearing the sweet razz on the baby monitor letting me know Kellan's awake. I get so much enjoyment in going in his room to see what position he's in today ( then I have to leave to go get the camera). And one look from mommy and daddy brings such a sweet smile to his face, its priceless. Here are some of the many morning shots.

Well its hard to believe my baby is 3 months already, but he is. We are so blessed to have a friend that does photography and took his pictures for us. They turned out so great, I can't wait to see what she can do for his 6 monthers !!!! Thanks Taylor !!!! www.taylormademessages.com

11 wk doctors visit

Well Kellan had his 2 month check up on 6-17-08 only he wasn't 2 months, he was 11 weeks. All is great. As expected, he's a skinny minny. He only weighs 11.7 lbs which is about 50%. But he is a long one. He is 23 1/2 inches long, about 75 % for his age. He got 4 shots and took em like a champ. He had fallen asleep in my arms (his favorite place) while we were talking to the doctor, and when it was time we laid him on the table and he was so happy and talking and smiling, then it happened, those mean ladies stuck that needle in his leg and he got the oh s--- face, and then came the scream. But once they were done so was he. Everyone says is so awful for mom and dad, but we couldn't help but laugh. Then comfort him of course.

Kellan sleeping through the night

Well, I thought the day would never come. I will probaly jinx myself talking about it, but me sweet angle boy has been sleeping through the night since 6-11-08. And not only all night, but 10-12 hrs. I can't tell you how we did it, it just happened !!!

Sean & Wilson's baby shower

Well baby Kassouf will be here before we know it. What a great reason to have a a party. It was a couple shower hosted by Sharp, Heather, April and my self. It was great fun. Baby Tyler is set with lots of goodies. Can't wait to meet him !!!

It's a BOY !!! (but we knew that)

He's here. Meet Kellan James Kirby 8 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches long. We were blessed with him at 6:15 PM on 3-31-08.
